Tommy Fury‘s win over Jake Paul in the recently concluded fight saw the Britisher shut down many of his doubters. After having been counted out by many, Fury showed up and displayed why he was a much better boxer than Jake Paul with his precise jabs and constant pressure. While doing so, he also proved that ‘The Problem Child’ clearly had a long way to go if he wanted to establish himself as a real boxer. Following the win, Dave Portnoy, who heavily criticized the 23-year-old in his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, came out accepting that he made a huge error in judgment. Portnoy had claimed that Paul would KO Fury while dissing the Britisher, stating that he was not a real boxer.

In a fresh video, Portnoy has now accepted his miscalculations, claiming that he ‘greatly underestimated’ Tommy Fury.

I greatly underestimated Tommy Fury. He proved me wrong. Made a fool outta me. Joe Rogan was right. I was wrong. I’m a dummy. Credit to me for taking total accountability for being a moron. Lead from the front.”

The founder of Barstool sports had expressed his controversial opinions on Tommy Fury when he made an appearance on JRE episode 1920, which led him to make this video.

Surprisingly, it didn’t take too long for Portnoy to realize that Fury indeed was a capable boxer. He claimed that 30 seconds into the fight; he realized that exact thing.

I knew 30 seconds in I was wrong, stated Portnoy.

Although he then also goes on to claim that everyone should follow suit when they are proven wrong, pointing out that he was a man of integrity and had to accept his mistakes

He says, “You actually have to be a man of integrity and honor and I am that man today.”

Funnily, Portnoy even expressed that his opinion of boxing wouldn’t be of much value going on from here.

“I can’t ever talk about boxing ever again with a degree of integrity. My reputation is in shambles.” He exclaimed.

After putting a dominant performance against ‘The Problem Child’, Tommy Fury has essentially put a stop to the hype that the YouTuber had amassed over the past few years. After beating the likes of Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva, Paul was even rumored to be on his way to making an MMA debut. To make things more intriguing, the 26-year-old had signed a massive deal with the PFL, giving fans more reason to believe that he would eventually step inside the cage.

Following this defeat, the former Disney star might have to get back in the win column before any big MMA fight materializes.
