Askren, a former UFC fighter, retired from MMA in 2019. He is a former Bellator and One Championship welterweight champion. He signed with the UFC in 2018 in exchange for Demetrious Johnson going to One Championship. ‘Funky’ made his promotional debut in 2019 against Robbie Lawler and submitted him in the first round to get the win. However, in his next fight against Jorge Masvidal, he was at the receiving end of the fastest knockout in UFC history. Askren then lost to Demian Maia via submission, which turned out to be the last fight of his MMA career.

Askren then made a switch to professional boxing. He had a feud with Jake Paul and they decided to settle it inside the boxing ring. ‘The Problem Child’ knocked out Askren in the first round and claimed his third professional boxing win. Askren in a recent post took a shot at his former opponent. Paul, in a video, responded to Dana White and called him a capitalistic m**herf**ker, which was a dig at White.

Askren, however, didn’t understand Paul’s insult towards the UFC President. He said, “Bragging about how many PPVs you sell one day and then using “Capitalistic” as an insult the next.”

Paul has always talked about how he is able to sell pay-per-views and is also a former YouTuber. This has people questioning his callout aimed towards the UFC head honcho.

Jake Paul doesn’t need Dana White

The undefeated boxer and the UFC President have been locked in a feud for a very long time. Paul, on multiple occasions, has taken a shot at White. Mostly on the issue of fighter pay. White has never shied away from replying to Paul, but now it seems the feud has escalated to a new level.

Paul recently challenged White and said that he’ll retire from boxing and sign a 1 fight contract with the UFC to fight Masvidal if White agrees. However, White responded by trashing Paul and his manager. He also said that ‘The Problem Child’ is only calling out fighters like Masvidal, Diaz, and McGregor because he can’t sell PPVs on his own. Which got a swift reply from Paul.
