Jose Aldo and Jeremy Stephens battled each other to a majority draw at Gamebred Boxing 4. Aldo and Stephens faced each other for the second time in their careers at Jorge Masvidal‘s Gamebred Boxing 4: Jones Jr. vs. Pettis.
Jose Aldo and Jeremy Stephens met each other during their days in the UFC. The pair faced off in a featherweight match-up in 2018 where Aldo got the first-round finish. Five years hence, ‘Lil Heathen’ had a chance to even the score against ‘Scarface’ in the squared circle.

Aldo’s legendary run in the UFC amassed a 13-7 record. During that time, he faced the cream of the crop including the likes of Conor McGregor, Max Holloway, and Alexander Volkanovski. The former UFC and final WEC featherweight champion has a 31-8 pro record in MMA and came as a 1-0 pro boxer into the bout.
36-year-old Stephens has a 15-18 record in the UFC over a 14-year career. He is also 1-2 in PFL. It was his boxing debut against Aldo in the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

Both Aldo and Stephens lived up to their hype at Gamebred Boxing 4. Aldo started off strong in the opening rounds but Stephens slowly came back into the fight. They kept the bout competitive for the remaining rounds. In the sixth and final round, both fighters unleashed a flurry of punches as they left it all in the ring.
In a moment of respect after the final bell, they embraced each other and showed respect. However, the result was anti-climactic for both fighters as the judges ruled it a majority draw.

Stephens showed nothing but respect for Aldo and called for a rubber match to settle the rivalry. Unsurprisingly, ‘The King of Rio’ was down to go at it a third time.
