‘The Diamond’ recently appeared on comedian Theo Von‘s ‘This Past Weekend‘ podcast. And one of the topics the pair took up for discussion was celebrity boxing. Von asked Dustin Poirier if he had any dream celebrity boxing matches in mind. The UFC star responded that a match between Donald Trump and President Joe Biden would do great business. Poirier stated, “They should do Trump-Biden [boxing match]… That will be a pay-per-view blockbuster.”

Theo Von took a few seconds to analyze that fight and predicted a win for Donald Trump, who’s been around so many fighters over the years. However, the 44-year-old comedian predicted the match to end in an unusual way. Von said, “Trump would probably win from pushing him [Biden] over.” Dustin Poirier seemed to echo the same sentiment and expressed his support for Trump. “I’d bet the money line on that one, Trump,” Poirier added.

Now, it goes without saying that these things were said in good jest. The rest of their conversation had some bizarre humor, just like this fight pitch featuring two senior citizens. While this celebrity match will only go down in imagination, another contentious celebrity fight will be happening soon as Mike Tyson makes his return.

Mike Tyson is returning for an exhibition match

The youngest world heavyweight champion in boxing, Mike Tyson, will make his return to boxing after he turns 58 years old. ‘Iron Mike’ will be taking on YouTuber-turned-Boxer Jake Paul in an exhibition match set for July 20 and will be streaming on Netflix. This news came as a surprise to many fans and combat sports figures as they did not expect Tyson to accept a fight when he is nearing his 60s.

UFC CEO Dana White, Conor McGregor, and many others also expressed their disapproval of the matchup between Tyson and Paul, pointing out the 31-year age difference they will have when they fight. However, there are still some fans who believe ‘Iron’ could be the one to put an end to Jake Paul’s boxing endeavor, once and for all.
