Eddie Hearn claims Conor McGregor made a mistake by fighting Floyd Mayweather

The founder of Matchroom Sport, Eddie Hearn, recently appeared in a Q&A session with the fans. A young fan asked him if he’d consider Conor McGregor’s return to the sport of boxing. But he wasn’t a fan of that idea. Hearn claims that most MMA fighters aren’t credible inside the squared circle. He said, “The problem is that a lot of MMA fighters don’t have the pedigree. Conor boxed as an amateur.”

He then mentioned Conor’s fight with Floyd Mayweather, and how that was not the best idea for the Irish superstar. Eddie Hearn said, “Unfortunately for him [McGregor], he made his boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather, which was a bad choice of opponent. But he didn’t do too bad out there.”
