UFC legend Anderson Silva last fought Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a professional boxing match on June 19, 2021. As always, ‘The Spider’ put on a good show. Given his outstanding performance, fans were wondering what’s next for the former UFC middleweight GOAT.

Even at 46-years of age, Silva put on a tough fight against Chavez Jr., who is an elite-level boxer. It was an evenly matched fight. However, ‘The Spider’ appeared to be controlling most of the fight, resulting in him winning via a split decision.

Now, Silva will step inside the boxing ring soon. As per the MMA Junkie, he will take on the former UFC light heavyweight champion, Tito Ortiz, at a Triller Fight Club event.

The event will be headlined by boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya and former UFC champion Vitor Belfort on September 11, 2021. Silva vs. Ortiz will probably serve as the co-main event.

What to expect from Anderson Silva vs. Tito Ortiz?

As mentioned above, Silva is coming off a spectacular split decision victory in his last boxing match. Moreover, he is 2-1 in his professional boxing career.

‘The Spider’ has more experience in boxing as compared to ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’. However, Ortiz is also an elite striker having 10 of his MMA victories coming in this manner.

Both fighters have the strength to claim a knockout victory. Also, they have the technique and skills to go the distance if needed. Hence, this boxing match-up has the potential to be one of the greatest legend vs. legend bouts.
