Most combat sports fans may agree that the coveted Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury boxing match did live up to the expectations. Not many would’ve thought that someone from an MMA background would subject the undefeated WBC heavyweight champ to some real trouble inside the ring. Ngannou’s superb performance even had a lot of combat sports pundits calling the bout in his favor. But, the noted ring announcer Michael Buffer refrained from giving out any such polarized take.

However, Michael, couldn’t help giving an opinion after witnessing Ngannou’s prowess in the ring. It was quite apparent that he wanted to see Ngannou take on many more heavyweights inside the squared circle. Well, subsequent events showcased that Michael’s brother, the famed UFC octagon announcer, Bruce Buffer, also was in strong agreement with him.

Tyson Fury’s face after the end of the match told a lot. It showcased a number of signs of getting hurt from Ngannou’s blows. However, there weren’t many such marks on ‘The Predator’s’ face. But the most shocking moment in the bout came in its third round. Fury ducked a bit amidst a third round exchange between the two. Ngannou landed a vicious counter-left hook that drove ‘The Gypsy King’ to the canvas.

Although Fury managed to win the bout via split decision, a lot of reputed combat sports personalities expressed disagreement with the results of the bout. But the arguably most popular boxing fight announcer, Michael Buffer, had a completely different question for his followers on ‘X’ (Twitter). Ngannou’s awesome display of prowess had Michael questioning, “After last nights split decision performance – going 10 rounds and knocking down the WBC champion – should FRANCIS N’GANNOU be instantly ranked in the WBC top 10?”

The elder Buffer also gave out his own take on the situation stating, “I –for one-Would love to see him against one of the top ranked heavyweights! “LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE!””

Numerous combat sports followers may know about the unique story of the unification of the Buffer brothers, Michael and Bruce. There are a number of reports describing the strong bond that they have between themselves. Well, this ‘X’ update from Michael also had his brother Bruce presenting his take on his question.

Most of us would agree that people who think alike often tend to form a bond with each other. Michael’s UFC announcer brother, Bruce’s opinion on the issue, showcased that the brothers also had a high degree of like-mindedness among themselves. Bruce retweeted his half-brother’s tweet along with a caption that read, “I fully agree Michael”.

Most fans may also know that Bruce’s career took a massive boost after he got into the UFC as their official fight announcer. But reports say that it was Michael who brought his brother into this field.

He was already a noted face inside the boxing ring as an announcer. After the unification of the brothers, Michael took Bruce as his agent, which had him gradually rising through the ranks to become the ‘Veteran Voice of the Octagon’. This like-mindedness is definitely one of the factors that has contributed to the brotherhood between the Buffers.
