Colby Covington Mocks Jake Paul’s Speech Impediment After First Loss: “He Ain’t a Real Fighter”

Colby Covington is no stranger to controversy, particularly when it comes to trash-talking about his opponents. The former interim UFC Welterweight champion is known for his brash personality and his willingness to say just about anything to get under his opponent’s skin.

Loved by some, but hated by others, Covington never seems to miss a chance to trash-talk about his adversaries. Very recently, fans saw Jake Paul, a YouTuber turned boxer, face Tommy Fury in the boxing ring. This bout was canceled a bunch of times in the past, but it actually happened this time. Covington had some bold things to say about Paul and the outcome of the fight.

The match was heavily hyped, with many curious to see how Paul would fare against a legitimate professional boxer. In the end, Fury won the fight via a split decision, meaning that two judges scored the fight in his favor while one judge scored it in favor of Paul. Although Paul put up a good fight, Fury‘s boxing skills proved too much for him.

Colby Covington wasted no time in reacting to Paul‘s loss. Covington called Jake Paul out, denying to recognize ‘The Problem Child’ as a legit fighter. In a Facebook comment, he said, Paul ain’t a real fighter. The real fight is him trying to pronounce letters with that lisp.” Covington took it one step further by mentioning Paul’s speech impediment.
