Mike Perry‘s decision to box Jake Paul may have been a bad decision because Conor McGregor has apparently called out ‘Platinum’ following his defeat to ‘El Gallo’. Having mentioned his support for the BKFC superstar before the fight against the YouTuber-turned-boxer, ‘The Notorious’ seemingly exercised his ownership role and “fired” him from the bare-knuckle outfit.

“Hey Mike youre released and you can go and compete in your smelly dirty boxing championship thing, the smell of it, good luck. You’re fired,” Conor McGregor tweeted following Mike Perry’s loss. Meanwhile, this post came under a current UFC lightweight fighter, Terrance McKinney, clapping back at the former dual-weight champion, when McGregor made some stunning revelations about Perry’s payout for the Jake Paul fight.

Conor McGregor makes a bold claim about Mike Perry’s payout for the Jake Paul fight

When Terrance McKinney stuck his neck out for Mike Perry he reminded Conor McGregor about how he fought Floyd Mayweather even when he was in the UFC, but now he appears to have a problem when others try to do the same. ‘T-Wrecks’ even suggested that McGregor should pay ‘Platinum’ more if he wanted to keep fighters of his caliber in the BKFC. But of course, the Irishman did not take these words kindly.

Calling Terrance McKinney a “no nothing bum,” Conor McGregor claimed that BKFC pays its fighters way more than what Jake Paul claims to pay his opponents. Moreover, Mike Perry appeared to have a clause in his BKFC contract, and as per the Irishman, he could have only one fight outside of the bare-knuckle outfit’s banner, and he exercised that clause. This begs the question as to why McGregor would fire him if the clause was already mentioned in Perry’s contract, who the UFC superstar claims to be a “dumba**”.

In another tweet, Conor McGregor also revealed that Mike Perry had apparently taken a pay cut from the BKFC just to fight Jake Paul. Despite that, there will be no chance for ‘Platinum’ to find his way back in the bare-knuckle promotion, with the Irishman claiming that it was what he wanted all along. Meanwhile, Perry shared his take on McGregor’s “You’re fired” comments after his boxing match against Paul.

How did ‘Platinum’ react to McGregor’s tweet?

Mike Perry did not seem to be appreciative of the tweets from BKFC part-owner Conor McGregor. He also did not seem to care much about what Conor McGregor had to say, because as a news flash, ‘Platinum’ claimed to be an owner of the bare-knuckle outfit as well. This may come as a surprise to many because not many people knew about Perry having a stake in BKFC.

“He doesn’t f***ing have a promotion because me and him are both owners of BKFC so he can’t fire me,” said Mike Perry in the recent post-fight presser. Also, he also has a solution if Conor McGregor has a problem, and that solution is a bare-knuckle fight. “We can fight bare knuckle. I lost to Jake Paul [so] why don’t you go and fight Jake Paul in boxing with the gloves on? I think it will be worse than Conor McGregor vs Mayweather,” Perry added.

Is Conor McGregor seriously talking about firing Mike Perry? We don’t know for sure because the tweets have apparently been deleted. But the fact that he claims Jake Paul doesn’t pay his opponents as much as the 27-year-old claims could be something other fighters who are planning to fight the YouTuber-turned-boxer in the future be interested in. Regardless, it remains to be seen how this story develops in the coming days.
