Despite the presence of Conor McGregor at BKFC KnuckleMania 4, Mike Perry stole the limelight as he defeated Thiago Alves with an impressive left fist. However, that was just the beginning of a new drama. And yes, it involved ‘The Notorious’.

After the news about Perry receiving more money than many UFC fighters and champions who fought in UFC 298, the bare-knuckle boxer has now come up with a plan to earn even more money. ‘Platinum’ brought a fight to McGregor, in an interview with the famed sports journalist, Helen Yee. Surprisingly, the idea of a fight between McGregor and Perry isn’t new. Last year, Perry called out the Dubliner following the events of BKFC 41. Surprisingly, ‘Mystic Mac’ accepted the challenge as he entered the ring with the BKFC belt over his shoulder. Now, things have become even spicier, with McGregor becoming a part owner of BKFC.

Immediately after defeating Alves inside the BKFC ring, Perry was interviewed by Helen Yee. Therein, the 32-year-old boxer opened up on the Irishman becoming a part owner of the fight promotion. Yet, that also came with a warning and a challenge. Perry called out McGregor and said, “Conor about the money! And so am I. And I mean, he don’t even need to come and fight for money. But, he know he was intrigued and would like to- And I’m hittable, right. You can hit me. You better practice punching bricks, motherf***er.”

Perry claimed that both he and the former UFC double champion were in the business for the money. With the Irishman’s intrigue leaning towards bare-knuckle fights, it would indeed be a pretty interesting matchup. Unfortunately, McGregor is still signed up with the UFC. Hence, the probability of this fight happening is nigh on zero. But Joe Rogan provided the fans with a sliver of hope.

Joe Rogan talks about Perry vs McGregor PPV

Rogan, the famed UFC color commentator once joined by Perry in an episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. During the talks, the podcaster opened up on the idea of Perry going against the former UFC champion, addressing the callout at BKFC 41.

“Listen if he [McGregor] decided to do that, if somehow or another they [the UFC] gave him the green light to do that… if that happened in a bare-knuckle fight, that would be f***ing bananas, that would be bananas… But I mean if somehow or another he agreed to fight bare-knuckle, Jesus Christ, you know how big that would be?… That would be wild, and it would be cool, man… If they did that in bare-knuckle, it would get a million pay-per-view buys at least, [or even] more,” Rogan said.

Without a doubt, it would be a blockbuster event. However, only time can tell whether the wishes of the fans are heard by the fighting Gods or not. Do you think the fight between Perry and McGregor would ever happen? If yes, who would you support? Let us know in the comments down below.
