Conor McGregor recently took to his X handle to announce, “I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon.” The former UFC two-weight champion has been absent from the combat sports scene for over three years, but it looks like his break could soon end with a high-profile exhibition.
The Irishman is reportedly set to fight Logan Paul in India, though the matchup has not been officially confirmed. However, it now seems that the Dubliner has even begun his training for what could be his much-awaited return to combat sports. Let’s see what the buzz is about!

Conor McGregor has been out of action for the last three years, and while his comeback is highly anticipated, it may not live up to the expectations many fans have. In his last bout, McGregor suffered a serious leg injury, which understandably impacted his confidence. Injuries like these have derailed careers in the past, as seen with many world-class fighters in the past. Now with McGregor vs. Paul fight rumors spreading, there was a concern in the MMA community. This isn’t a situation where a seasoned veteran faces a younger up-and-comer.
Logan Paul’s size advantage over McGregor could give him the edge, but never count out ‘The Notorious’. McGregor famously went 10 rounds with Floyd Mayweather back in 2017. With his exceptional knockout power, McGregor could easily end the fight and knock Paul out at any given moment. And it seems the former dual-champion is gearing up for the challenge. McGregor is fairly active on social media and constantly updates fans with his training videos.
McGregor Forever and Fight Hub TV recently shared some training footage on their X and Instagram pages respectively. The caption read, “Conor McGregor getting ready for a boxing match”. While there has been no announcement of the fight as of yet, fans will be desperate to get the final news as soon as possible. It will be an opportunity to witness the Irishman back in action after so long. However, McGregor is currently under contract with the UFC and will first require their permission to get into the fight with Logan Paul.

Fans were certainly taken aback when Conor McGregor announced his return to fighting in an exhibition boxing match, but they never imagined it would be against Logan Paul. The 29-year-old YouTuber-turned-WWE star is much larger than the Irishman, leading many to question if he stands a chance in their upcoming bout. However, Sean O’Malley’s coach believes McGregor could have an unexpected advantage in the fight.

Conor McGregor gets backing from Tim Welch in his rumored fight with Logan Paul
Jake Paul recently faced off in the biggest fight of his career against Mike Tyson. Despite Tyson being in his late 50s, the numbers suggested Jake performed well. His brother, Logan, was present for the event and was called out by Tyson for a potential future fight, but Logan dismissed the challenge with a playful remark. Meanwhile, Tim Welch, coach of Sean O’Malley, claims he was at the event and even spoke with Logan.
According to Welch, Logan’s physique appeared to have slimmed down a bit compared to the 200+ pounds he used to carry in his time in the WWE. However, according to Welch, his current size might not work in his favor during his fight with McGregor. He also pointed out that both Logan Paul and McGregor are likely walking around at similar weights, which puts the Irishman in a favorable position heading into the bout. He said, “That’s an interesting fight, though… 10 3-minute rounds. Logan Paul’s probably going to be bigger. I wonder what weight. Maybe at 185,” Welch added. “Logan could probably make 180. Conor McGregor looks like he’s walking around ’85 or ’90… I think Conor would beat him.”
