The Knuckle Mania IV event at Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, California proved to be an exciting affair. The former UFC fighter-turned-BKFC star Mike Perry took on BKFC middleweight champ Thiago Alves, headlining the biggest event in the history of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. And the new co-owner of BKFC Conor McGregor is here for it!
As the famed UFC fighter defeated fellow UFC veteran Alves at the 1 minute mark of the very first round by a left hook, his extremely dominant performance left the ‘Notorious’ and the fans stunned beyond belief. By the time the heavyweight bout concluded, which didn’t last for long to begin with, Conor McGregor found himself tweeting about his former colleague’s performance.

Turning to the social media platform, McGregor wrote, “Platinum with no platinum.” However, just one tweet couldn’t express McGregor’s shock, so he saw a second fit to express his thoughts. McGregor wrote, “Do a patsy off the platsy.” And guess what! A few moments later, he tweeted again. While sharing a picture of the duo facing each other McGregor wrote, “Another amazing event! “Knucklemania” top to bottom action!”
While Perry might not have found a steady stream of success in the UFC, BKFC has proven to be his destiny. The ferocious puncher saw a quick rise to fame after several bloody affairs in the ring. Making his debut with the promotion in February 2022, Perry had to go through a hard battle against Julian Lane. And he followed that with victories over Michael Page, Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez until he found Alves standing on his path. However, the ‘Notorious’ wasn’t the only one stunned by Perry’s dominance in the fight without gloves.

As the fight was done and dusted, Perry delivered an exciting call out to Darren Till. He also took some humble shots at Nate Diaz, who was ringside, taking in the action in the ring. Meanwhile, X was abuzz with Perry’s dominance. Paulo Costa wrote, “This mtfk @PlatinumPerry is absolutely savage at @bkfc_uk congrats bro.”

Even BJ Penn congratulated the victor, saying, “Hope @ThiagoAlvesATT is ok. Congrats to @PlatinumPerry on the win!” 29-year-old Terrance McKinney found Perry’s performance so good that he had an interesting idea. “They should just rename it to Mike Perry’s BKFC for now on.”
Seeing the reactions from the pros to Mike Perry’s handiwork, ‘Platinum’ seems to be indeed the face of Bare Knuckle fighting. However, the bigger question is what’s next for the puncher? Who would you want to see him against?
