Getting insulted and criticized by one’s idol is indeed traumatizingly sad. And Sean O’Malley is no stranger to such feelings. His idol, Conor McGregor recently attacked him alongside another rising star from the squared rings. But the drama began with Ryan Garcia testing positive for a banned performance enhancer. Having faced the public’s judgment before for the same reasons, ‘Suga’ was seemingly nudged to finally open up about the ostarine drama.

The Irishman isn’t one to mince words. Without a doubt, his strong criticism often ends up hurting the ones at the receiving end. This time, it was O’Malley and Garcia. McGregor recently bashed the two in a tweet for testing positive for ostarine. Although the tweet was quickly deleted, the damage was already done. But what does ‘Suga’ have to say about it?

Back in 2018 and 2019, O’Malley tested positive for trace amounts of ostarine, which led to him getting suspended for 6 months, twice. However, this time, it was Garcia under public scrutiny. In the recent episode of the ‘TimboSugaShow’, Tim Welch wondered about what would happen to Garcia’s money, following the PED scandal. Immediately after, O’Malley tuned into his curiosity and wondered if ‘KingRy’ tested only for osarine or multiple substances. But the answer pointed towards ostarine present in picograms.

Without a doubt, it is the popularity of the fighters that determines the magnitude of the backlash they receive from the fighting community. According to ‘Suga,’ given Garcia’s fame, it was destined to happen: “But the reason this is circulating is because it’s Ryan Garcia. Such a big thing. But that s**t f**king happens, dude.” However, the fighter also claimed that such small levels of ostarine were incapable of enhancing one’s performance, which was why ‘Suga’ himself was let off the hook. Regardless, he opined that it would be a whole other story if Garcia was on multiple substances.

To O’Malley’s surprise, ‘KingRy’ also tested positive for 19-norandrosterone, a steroid coming under Schedule III controlled substances. This indeed stupefied the mixed martial artist. He said, “Damn! I mean, it gets, gets interesting if there’s more s**t, and then, and it depends on those levels, too. So, I’m curious what’s going to come out. But we’ll see. We’ll see. If it was just the ostarine, there was, it was the picograms, then I’m like, it’s f**king ridiculous. But if its, if he’s actually on, doing steroids, then it’s f**ked up.”

Although drama like this isn’t a new thing in the world of MMA, O’Malley was deeply saddened by what Conor McGregor had to say.

‘Suga’ talks about his discontent after Conor McGregor lashed out at him

As soon as Garcia’s PED scandal became the talk of the town, McGregor rushed to X and sent out a rant. Although his rage was primarily directed at the boxer, O’Malley also received quite a bit of damage, just because he previously tested positive for ostarine. ‘Suga’ revealed how deeply he was hurt because of McGregor’s words.

O’Malley revealed that he had seen way too many people talking about McGregor being his idol. He has never talked badly about his idol. Hence, after ‘The Notorious’ sent forth the tweet, it was all a different story. “He just went on a little tweet rant, f**k booger sugared up talking s**t. ‘I thought you was out for a spar.’ I was more sad than mad,” O’Malley confessed.
