What’s more fearsome than Mike Tyson? Perhaps UFC head honcho Dana White discovered the answer to it when he put Tyson in shark-infested waters.

Dana White is a man of many interests, from his venture into Power Slap to his interest in Shark Week. Just as Mike Tyson was about to head into his Roy Jones Jr. fight in 2020, Dana White decided to put the iconic boxer on a job on Shark Week, an annual week-long Discovery Channel program. Essentially, Tyson was let down into waters where he would be surrounded by sharks.

Tyson was of course okay with it since he has a very good relationship with Dana White but his job was to put sharks to sleep in his own words and nobody, not even Mike Tyson, can be fully comfortable surrounded by the apex predator of the oceans.

Dana White recently appeared on Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo‘s podcast Pound4Pound where he spoke up about the incident. “So Mike was gonna fight the Roy Jones fight and I was all f**ing bummed out, didn’t want him to fight. I said, ‘Listen, yeah, Mike, I’ll f*ing get you other sh* to make money.’ So I put him on Shark Week. Oh I know you heard the story. He goes down there and he almost f***ing killed everybody on the set the day that he had to get in the water with the sharks . . .”‘

White quoted Tyson expressing his frustration and said, “… this motherf*cker keeps telling me how much he cares about me. Right? I’ve been fighting since I was a f*cking kid, you’re gonna throw me in the f*cking water with a bunch of sharks?”

The story was doubtlessly hilarious and everybody who’s heard it has had a good laugh at the bizarre nature of things that Tyson and White found themselves entangled in. Now, fans of the boxing legend as well as of the UFC are reacting to the clip.

Finally, one fan thought White’s ideas were bizarre.

“Dana is st*up*id”

Clearly, the relationship between Tyson and White is unique and incredibly comfortable since Tyson would literally jump into shark-infested waters trusting the UFC CEO. Now, will he win his bout against Jake Paul too? That’s a question the answer of which, we leave up to you.
