Several MMA fans and personalities have often accused the UFC due to their meager fighter payouts. Although UFC stars like Conor McGregor and Israel Adesanya earn millions from each fight, there is a section of UFC fighters who stay broke despite fighting for the premier MMA promotion in the world. A large chunk of combat sports fans are also aware of the noted YouTuber-boxer, Jake Paul’s war against Dana White and Co. to advocate for justified fighter payouts.

With the completely polarizing characters of the UFC CEO, Dana White, and Paul standing in proximity to each other, the ongoing beef between the two becomes quite understandable. To date, Paul has taken multiple jibes at White mostly related to poor payouts for his fighters. But his actions might be considered far more alarming than his words.

Most fans know that Paul often calls out retired UFC fighters to the boxing ring. He has fought four ex-UFC fighters in the boxing ring, namely Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz. Moreover, he has also knocked out two of them in the process. Although the UFC CEO may stay relaxed about the results of these bouts, he should be worried about retired UFC fighters accepting Paul’s callout and stepping inside the boxing ring.

Ardent combat sports fans may know how the managing authorities of a fighter take away a major part of their income. However, the retired UFC stars who boxed Paul didn’t require the help of any organization to manage their side of the bout. This, in turn, resulted in them earning their heaviest payday in the history of their combat sports careers.

‘The Problem Child’ has also claimed this fact on camera with ‘Funky’ Askren even agreeing to it. The lack of involvement of any major authority, like the UFC, to promote this bout, actually maximized the earnings for the fighters. What if more UFC fighters plan on tracing this way instead of receiving meager payments for their blood and bone risk inside the octagon?

Most UFC fans had their hearts shattered when they witnessed their beloved UFC legend, Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva lose to Paul. Real combat sports fans could understand that Paul was fighting a 48-year-old Silva who was well past his prime. But the records will show that Paul has a victory over the MMA GOAT candidate.

The UFC looks to turn the casual combat sports fans into their devotees to ensure their boost in revenues. With Paul collecting wins over UFC legends, it’s quite understandable that the UFC head honcho won’t be too pleased with him.
