Moreover, McGregor’s teammate, Dillon Danis, shared a video clip on Twitter where Islam Makhachev is seen sneakily attacking the Bellator fighter. He has vowed to take revenge on the Dagestan native.
Dillon Danis is pretty active on social media, especially on Twitter. He never fails to express whatever he’s got in his mind. However, this time he recalled the moment which made UFC 229 iconic – the brawl that took place after the main event.

Dillon Danis sends a grave warning to Islam Makhachev
There was a lot of animosity between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor in the build-up to their fight at UFC 229. Moreover, their teammates, Islam Makhachev and Dillon Danis, found themselves caught in the middle of their feud. The heated build-up for the fight ended with a mass brawl following ‘The Eagle’s win over Conor McGregor. While many people saw Nurmagomedov attacking Dillon Danis after the fight, a recent video shows that the Hall of Famer’s protege also got into the act.
Dillon Danis shared a video clip in a now-deleted tweet. The video clip shows Makhachev landing a sneak attack on the back of ‘El Jefe’s head. Danis apparently seems bitter about the situation. He hasn’t forgotten about the incident yet and has promised to take revenge on the reigning UFC lightweight champion. He wrote, “I will get my revenge in this life or the next [Islam Makhachev] f**ing pu*y.”

Danis’ tweet comes after Conor McGregor joined John Gotti III after the latter sent a death threat to Floyd Mayweather. The aftermath of the Mayweather-Gotti match was a lot of chaos wherein a brawl took place reminding many of the UFC 229 brawl.
Conor McGregor Khabib Nurmagomedov faced consequences after the UFC 229 brawl
The bad blood between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov came to an end after the Hall of Famer submitted the Irishman in a dominant outing. However, things went off the rails after Nurmagomedov jumped out of the cage and attacked McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis. The people in attendance were stunned to see the UFC’s biggest blemish.

The brawl led to many arrests and the incident was so ferocious that the Nevada State Athletic Commission had to step in. The NSAC issued a fine of $500,000 and a nine-month suspension to Khabib Nurmagomedov for initiating the brawl. Furthermore, Conor McGregor was also fined a sum of $50,000. That was not it for ‘Notorious’ as the NSAC also handed him a 6-month suspension.

UFC president Dana White had no idea that the brawl would break out after the main event. He claimed that the incident was a shameful one. However, the UFC has since ensured that such incidents do not become a regular occurrence in future events.
