While their scheduled boxing bout is months away, the war of words between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz is already heating up. Recently, Diaz had taken a shot at Paul, accusing him of steroid use. Now, the 26-year-old has fired back at the former UFC star, taking a shot at Conor McGregor and he did not mince words.

Diaz and Paul are set to face each other in a boxing bout on August 5 in Dallas. However, Diaz’s involvement in a recent brawl at a Misfit boxing event cast doubt over the bout. After choking out an alleged attacker on camera, the 38-year-old received an arrest warrant from the New Orleans police department.

While the legal troubles are cause for concern, Diaz’s team assured that the scheduled bout against Paul would proceed as planned. Meanwhile, the younger Diaz took a shot at Paul over a tweet and suggested an improved stipulation for their fight.

He wrote on Twitter, “12 rounds Ur on steroids so let’s put that sh*t to work.” As per the fight announcement, Diaz vs. Paul will be 8 rounds, but Diaz is now suggesting a longer bout.

‘The Problem Child’ did not take too kindly to Diaz’s insult and responded with his own insults. He took shots at both Diaz and his longtime rival Conor McGregor in his response.

In his response to Diaz, Jake Paul wrote, “You speaking to me Nathan? We haven’t forgotten that you tested positive for steroids. You and your boyfriend Connor are juice heads.”

Paul was referring to Diaz failing a USADA test in 2019, ahead of the BMF title fight against Jorge Masvidal. As for the McGregor dig, the Irishman raised more than a few eyebrows with the amount of muscle he put on while recovering from his leg break.

Paul further continued, “Let’s do 15 rounds and see how good those cannabis corroded lungs are.” Finally, he added, “VADA going to be coming to Stockton to slap you up.”

Diaz is infamous for his cardiovascular capacity and his cannabis use. However, it seems like Paul is game to increasing the duration of the bout to see if Diaz has still got the same durable lungs.
