MMA journalist Ariel Helwani has announced the guest list for the next episode of The MMA Hour. Former UFC lightweight champion, Benson Henderson, will join him along with Al Iaquinta and Jack Hermansson. However, the fans were most excited by the announcement of the fourth guest.

In the tweet announcing his guests, Helwani mentioned Eddie Hearn was the fourth guest. He will join the former ESPN reporter in the studio for the episode. Hearn is a British sports promoter. He is also the chairperson of Matchroom Sport and Professional Darts Corporation.

Hearn is one of the biggest promoters in boxing today. He is the son of promoter Barry Hearn, the founder of Matchroom Sport. Hearn has promoted many world champions like Anthony Joshua, Canelo Alvarez, Oleksandr Usyk, and many others. Hearn in 2021 announced a 5 year deal between Matchroom and DAZN. Ending Matchroom’s previous partnership with Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland.

MMA fans were particularly happy with him coming as they will get to know more about boxing. Hearn is a huge name in the sport and might give some insight into upcoming bouts and deals. Lots of fans took to Twitter to show their excitement.

MMA fans excited to watch Eddie Hearn with Ariel Helwani

Ariel Helwani always has a variety of guests on his show. He manages to get people from boxing, MMA, and even WWE. Helwani had the undefeated boxer, Jake Paul, as one of the guests recently. Eddie Hearn falls in the same bracket. No one saw that coming and fans couldn’t contain their excitement.

One fan took to Twitter and wrote, “Eddie in studio???? Yes ariel.”

One fan was happy and took a shot at MMA fans. The person tweeted, “Hopefully Eddie Hearn can tell the MMA world about some of the real fighter boxers. The MMA bunch think fury is some ultimate draw when it’s not the reality at all.”

The British sports promoter is no doubt going to shed some light on boxing. He recently worked with Jake Paul as well for the Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano fight. And actually enjoyed working with him. It will be interesting to see what all topics come up during the interview.
