Jake Paul is notoriously famous for the promotional stunts which he pulls out to generate mass attention. Besides that, he has fought on social media with several MMA fighters like Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, Nate Diaz, and many others. He has also gone back and forth with UFC President Dana White over several topics. ‘The Problem Child’ continued the same as he trolled White for the UFC not being able to sell out arenas.

The PPV in question is UFC 279: Khamzat Chimaev vs Nate Diaz. While the event is headlined by the much-anticipated welterweight fight, the rest of the card is not as intriguing as the main event. Jake Paul picked up on this and posted a story targeting the $500 million worth UFC President and the promotion.

Paul wrote in his story, “damn Dana…looks like you can’t sell tickets (the blue is unsold) in your own hometown of Las Vegas for UFC 279? Not only do you hold Nate Diaz hostage. Not only do you put him up against a terrible opponent stylistically. But you create the worst card of the year to honor this man? ESPN even on you.”

Nate Diaz may not have had another option for a fight

In his story, Jake Paul spoke in favor of Nate Diaz, who is on the last fight of his UFC deal. The BMF title challenger, one of the biggest names in the game, wants to explore other forms of combat. Hence, many expect this to be his farewell fight.

Many of his fans are worried as his opponent for his farewell fight (Khamzat Chimaev) is an upcoming juggernaut. Even Jake Paul feels that it’s a terrible matchup for Nate Diaz. However, it may have been done as no top-ranked fighter, who could generate a massive payday, would have accepted the fight against the unranked legend.

There are just under three weeks for the PPV and the UFC will hope that the T-Mobile Arena sells out between now and September 10.

Nate Diaz has been a resilient fighter throughout his career. He became the first man to beat Conor McGregor in the UFC and will look to earn that distinction against ‘Borz’ and depart the octagon on a high.
