Jake Paul once claimed to have dominated the UFC as a means to take a jibe at Dana White

Jake Paul faced a lot of criticism for his jump into the world of boxing. Many people argued that ‘The Problem Child’s boxing matches were not the traditional kind of fights that boxing fans were accustomed to. However, Paul claimed that he was helping the sport get back its prestige and bring in more eyes. During an episode of ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson‘, he said, “I guess it’s different, right? But that’s what the sport needed because whatever was happening before, it wasn’t gaining the interest.”

Moreover, he took a shot at Dana White and claimed that when it comes to the analytical data; the numbers show that boxing is now dominating the UFC, showing how much of an influence and impact he has had on the sport since stepping inside the squared circle. “And now, look at like boxing is back and bigger and dominating UFC, just analytically this year,” ‘The Problem Child’ added.

Paul will now fight the host of the show where he made these comments, Mike Tyson. With the announcement of this fight, which will take place on July 20, Dana White shared his comments about Tyson’s return to the squared circle.

The UFC CEO sounded concerned about Mike Tyson fighting Paul

Dana White has never had a good relationship with Jake Paul. Both fighters have had differences over a range of issues. When he learned that Mike Tyson was going to be the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s next opponent, the 54-year-old looked genuinely concerned for the youngest world heavyweight champion. White mentioned that Tyson doesn’t like to be what to do, so he has never tried to attempt to sway ‘Iron’ away from the upcoming fight.

However, he mentioned that there was a 30+ year gap between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, which is not the kind of fight he’s a fan of. Despite the concerns he has for ‘Iron’, Dana White appeared to show a bit of interest in seeing what the most ferocious fighter of all time can do when he returns to the ring at the age of 58.

Hence, it won’t be surprising to see the younger Paul settling his differences with the UFC CEO. But for now, there is no love lost between these two personalities.
