Conor McGregor‘s name seems to be on everyone’s fight list. Countless personalities have called him out because of the popularity-gain and financial incentives a fight against the Irishman will bring them. One such individual is former professional boxer Carl Froch. Froch has expressed his desire to enter the ring or even the octagon with the Irish superstar.

Carl Froch, a former super-middleweight champion, is no stranger to the limelight. Starting professionally in 2002, Froch carved out a successful career in the boxing world. With an impressive record of 33 wins, including 24 knockouts, he has etched his name among the boxing elite.

Carl Froch calls out Conor McGregor

In a recent Q&A video on his YouTube channel, Froch was asked about which retired boxer he would like to fight. However, his response took an unexpected turn as he considered the idea of facing a retired MMA fighter. The former boxer named Conor McGregor, who he believes is retired.

“What about a retired MMA fighter? The only guy at the minute that comes to mind is McGregor. I think he is retired from MMA I don’t know.”

He even mimicked McGregor’s response when the Irishman dismissed a fight with him comically. According to Froch, McGregor was hesitant to fight him, as ‘The Notorious’ would be thoroughly outmatched in a boxing match.

“I heard the other day and somebody asked him ‘what about Carl Froch’ and his answer was (continues to mimic McGregor). That doesn’t even mean anything. What that means to me is Conor McGregor doesn’t want to fight me in a boxing ring. Which is fine, I don’t blame it, he will get absolutely annihilated.”

Interestingly, this is not the first time Froch has expressed his willingness to step into the octagon against McGregor. Months before his recent comments, Froch openly stated his desire to fight McGregor in the cage. In his earlier video, Froch openly stated that McGregor was too small to pose a threat.

“I’d fight Conor McGregor in the cage [octagon]. I could be getting myself in trouble here or into a position I can’t wiggle out of, but I think I’d take him on in the cage. He’s too small.”
