“It’s not a question of if it should happen, a union — it’s a question of when it will happen,” the Canadian star said. St-Pierre also added that the sport of MMA is relatively young. So despite previous failed attempts, he believes a fighters union will be set up in the future.

“You only hear about the guys who make it, the Conor McGregor, Khabib [Nurmagomedov], Georges St-Pierre. We made a lot of money, we left the sport healthy and good. But the truth is that most of the guys, 99.9 percent of the guys, it’s a horror movie, it’s a bad ending to their career, ending in a bad way.”

After his win over Silva, Paul reiterated his decision to go ahead with the fighter’s union plan. As a part of their bet, ‘The Spider‘ will have to join Paul. The 25-year-old also asked the 47-year-old St-Pierre to join the efforts as they could use with his expertise in the sport.
