Recently, his old rival, Floyd Mayweather, reportedly offered him a hefty sum for a boxing rematch.

According to “The Sun,” Mayweather wants a boxing rematch with McGregor. Since their last fight was such a hit, Mayweather reportedly offered the Irishman $157 million for this rematch. A source from Mayweather’s camp allegedly contacted SunSport.

SunSport wrote, “Mayweather Promotions made Conor an offer of 150million euros ($157m) for the fight. Floyd has been training like he is thirty again – he is in really good shape. He’s telling people he wants to fight Connor because he considers it ‘easy work for easy money.'”

The source also revealed the potential date and location for this rematch. SunSport reports, “It’s looking like it could take place around March in the Middle East.” The source also mentioned that a potential fight between stars Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia could also occur in the undercard.

SunSport adds, “There may even be a possible Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia fight on the same night. Floyd wants it to be the biggest night of boxing history with pay per views like never before.”

McGregor performed well in the opening rounds, even taking a few rounds from Mayweather. But as the fight continued, Mayweather gained momentum and dominated McGregor in the closing rounds. McGregor looked gassed out in these closing rounds. Finally, in round 10, Mayweather’s pressure was too much for McGregor to handle, and he won the bout via TKO.
