Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Mark Coleman Once Posted Pictures With Mike Tyson and Fedor Emelianenko Together and Called Fedor ‘The Other Goat’

Mark Coleman was the first UFC Heavyweight Champion. He was also inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame at UFC 82. He had a stellar career at the UFC. Coleman once said in a pre-fight interview with Joe Rogan that I’m going to ground him and pound the goddamn shit out of him“. This statement gave us the name ‘ground and pound’.

Coleman posted a picture on Instagram a few years ago. The picture had not one but three greats from combat sports. The Instagram post showed all-time Boxing Great Mike Tyson with Mark Coleman and Fedor Emelianenko.

Coleman posted a picture on Instagram a few years ago. The picture had not one but three greats from combat sports. The Instagram post showed all-time Boxing Great Mike Tyson with Mark Coleman and Fedor Emelianenko.

Fedor Emelianenko is a Russian Mixed Martial Artist. He has trained in Sambo and Judo. The Russian has the bragging rights of beating 4 former UFC Champions and 1 Pride FC Champion. Clearly, He too is a very well-established fighter.

Mark Coleman seems to have had huge respect for both Mike Tyson and Fedor Emelianenko. It reflected in the way he addressed the Heavyweights in the caption of his Instagram post.

The Coleman Journey

Mark Coleman is 58 years old now. The veteran started his career with a flourish. He defeated UFC 8 champion, Don Frye, at UFC 10 in 1996. The next big moment came when he submitted to the UFC Superfight Champion Dan Severn. He was out of the UFC in 2008. He then returned to fight fellow UFC Hall of Fame fighter.
