Former UFC title contender, Jake Shields, is a well-known veteran in the sport of mixed martial arts. Although the American fighter has not entered the cage for a while now, he looks to have a good relationship with his fans. The fighter has been quite active on his social media platforms, and regularly interacts with his fans. Shields has recently taken to Twitter, to express his thoughts on certain controversial topics. The 43-year-old gave his opinion on the drama surrounding social media influencer, Andrew Tate.

Jake Shields took to Twitter to show his support for Tate. In his tweet, he said, “People are freaking out about young boys looking up to Andrew Tate but totally fine with young girls looking up to Cardi B and the Kardashians.

 

The American martial artist mentions celebrities like Cardi B and the Kardashians in his tweet, in order to emphasize his point on the matter of Andrew Tate. The influencer is currently facing a large amount of backlash regarding his content on social media.

Jake Shields showed his support for Tate, and said, “Tate’s Main message is stop being lazy and making excuses and go work hard and get in shape and make money.”

 

The 43-year-old also compared the influencer to modern-day rappers. He believes that Tate’s actions are better than modern-day rap stars, and does not support the idea that Tate is “the biggest problem.”

Will Jake Shields return to MMA?

Jake shields last fought in 2018, and since then has looked to take a break from the sport. Many fans believe that this may be an end to Shields’ professional career. The former UFC title contender has mentioned that while he has not been actively competing, he has kept himself sharp by competing in grappling competitions.

The fighter said that he is not actively looking for fights, but would accept the challenge if the right opponent came along.
