Almost two months after scoring the biggest win of his career over an MMA legend, Jake Paul has his sights set on another MMA star. In a recent tweet, former UFC welterweight ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry revealed details of contract negotiations between himself and Paul’s MVP promotions. However, a fight between the two is far from agreed upon.

Perry left the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2021 and has tested his luck in a few promotions. Currently, ‘Platinum’ competes under BKFC and has two wins, including one over Bellator’s Michael Venom Page. Now, the 31-year-old is looking to enter the squared circle for a dance with ‘The Problem Child’.

Despite the details of legitimate contract negotiations the Perry released, the discussions seem to have come to a halt. Therefore, Perry took to Twitter to reignite the issue.

Mike Perry calls out Jake Paul

Over two of his recent tweet, Mike Perry called out Jake Paul for backing out of their fight negotiations. in his tweet he wrote, I signed a contract to fight @jakepaul but he changed his mind.”

To support his claim, Perry released details of the contract with his signature on it. In the tweet, he wrote, Wya @jakepaul.” According to the contract Perry shared, the bout would have taken place in February 2023.

Perry’s tweets confirm that negotiations had indeed taken place. However, it remains unclear why the negotiations did not proceed further from Paul’s side.

31-year-old Perry is a far cry from the aging MMA icons that Paul has beaten so far. Despite Paul scoring an impressive win over Anderson Silva, he still received backlash citing Silva’s age.
