Francis Ngannou is finally going to get a boxing match after exiting from the UFC. Negotiations for a two-fight deal with former boxing world champion Deontay Wilder are underway. Many have wondered how this fight would turn out for each of the fighters. However, Brendan Schaub believes that the Ngannou-Wilder clash will be a 50-50 matchup.

Deontay Wilder is one of the biggest names of the current generation of boxers. He has participated in over 46 professional fights, out of which he won 43 times, lost twice, and drew once. Moreover, he is currently a free agent and has issued a challenge to the former UFC champion, Francis Ngannou.

‘The Predator’ had been rallying for a fight against Tyson Fury. However, it seems like he has to get his hand on ‘The Bronze Bomber’ as his first boxing opponent. Former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub believes that the fight between Wilder and Ngannou could go both ways. He recently touched upon this topic in an episode of ‘The Schaub Show’ on YouTube.

Brendan Schaub claims Francis Ngannou vs Deontay Wilder will be a 50-50 clash

Schaub claims that ‘The Predator ‘ has a significant chance to win and show his worth in boxing. He said, “I think for Francis if he can make that big f*** you-30 million dollar payday after Wilder, it’s also his best chance to not only look good but get a win.”

The former UFC fighter compared Deontay Wilder‘s fighting technique to that of Francis Ngannou“Deontay Wilder fundamentally …Francis might have a better technique,” said Schaub.

He added, “Deontay Wilder’s boxing …like his foot’s off the ground, the techniques not right, but boy does he hit hard.”

He believes that the fight can go either way. Schaub continued, “For Francis, sign me up. A 50-50 fight against Deontay Wilder? 50-50 are great odds for Francis.” The former UFC fighter also claims that Ngannou has a very low chance of beating someone like Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua. But he might fare well against Deontay Wilder.

Brendan Schaub claims that knocking Wilder out will help Francis Ngannou get noticed in the boxing scene. That will also help him get to Tyson Fury, which is the fight he wants. He also claims that the two-fight proposal is more like to end up being just a boxing bout.
