The notorious antics – Conor McGregor and his Twitter rollercoaster

The context for this rollercoaster of emotions lies in the upcoming historic title fight between two dominant welterweight champions, Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. and Terence “Bud” Crawford.

Scheduled to headline a Premier Boxing Champions event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 29, the bout promises to be a captivating showdown. When TNT Sports journalist Chamatkar Sandhu took to his Twitter to express his excitement for the fight, the Irishman followed suit.

Retweeting to Sandhu’s tweet, the former two-division champ wrote, “That’s how it’s done. Good luck both men. Proper excited for this fight.”

However, just moments after showing enthusiasm for the fight, McGregor took a complete U-turn in his opinion. Dropping an unprecedented bombshell, in another tweet, he expressed, “Actually ya know what, it’s not. I’m excited about this fight. Me, a fighter. But Joe, Mary, and Bob haven’t a clue about it still. That was the last chance to reach ROW. As in the rest of the world outside of fight people. If we’re talking [money], it’s not how it’s done. If we talking [belt], it is.”

The confusion continued as McGregor retweeted, “We don’t broker peace before the war around here. Cos ya know what mandingo’s, I’m not excited anymore.”
