Nate Diaz is not a person who gets rattled easily. Not only is he fearless in the Octagon, but has seen the hardships of life, having done most of his growing up in a rough neighborhood in Stockton, California. A lot of people have tried to incite Diaz but he has an air of a hardened ‘gangster’ about him. The former UFC fighter isn’t shaken easily.
However, there seems to be one person who gets on his nerve. Ever since Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz was announced, one person from the media wing has been turning up at every press conference and throwing shade at Diaz. Diaz, who is currently focusing on fighting Jake Paul, hasn’t reciprocated yet. However, boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. has given his take on this.

In the recent press conference, a lot went down. One of Jake Paul’s team members started brawling with a member from Diaz’s team. On top of that, Sullivan turned up at the press conference again and said he cannot wait for Jake Paul to knock him out in their fight. This wouldn’t be the first time that Sullivan has derided Diaz in public. However, this time, Diaz has a legend on his side.
Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. harshly criticized Sullivan’s actions when an interviewer asked him about his thoughts on the matter.
“Very disrespectful.“, he said at first, before the interviewer asked him if Diaz was right to get upset over the happenings. “You damn right he’s right to get angry… (inaudible) so you can’t wait to see me get knocked out why you ask me a question? Don’t talk to me.“, he retorted.
The interviewer then asked him if thought that something can be done to prevent it from repeating further and Jones Jr. replied saying, “They probably could, yeah. Because if you don’t know to come in and be respectful, then you shouldn’t be allowed to come in. So, for guys like that… (inaudible) done disrespect from the press conference, he should be escorted out and not be allowed in a press conference again.“.
Nate Diaz and his team have a reputation and hinting at that, the reporter asked the boxing legend if Sullivan shouldn’t be allowed in press conferences for a while. “Yeah yeah. He better not show his face again cause if he does they should – they should… (inaudible) disrespectful.“, replied Jones Jr. “I would tell my people let me get to him cause I wanna bust me his damn mouth.“, he added.
