‘He Don’t Believe the Sh*t He’s Saying’- Tyron Woodley Speaks on his First Face Off Against Jake Paul

UFC welterweight Tyron Woodley spoke to Fight Hub TV in the lead-up to his boxing debut against Jake Paul. News came out that ‘The Chosen One’ would be facing Paul in August in what has become a popular fad. Chiefly, there’s a built-in narrative surrounding the scrap considering that Jake Paul viciously knocked out Tyron Woodley’s teammate, Ben Askren.

Chiefly, both men engaged in their first face-off, with several media members in attendance. Both men were jawing back and forth for over four minutes and it’s clear that tensions are high. As the countdown to the fight ramps up, the intensity will continue to grow as the fight is certainly of a meaningful magnitude.

Tyron Woodley’s takeaways from the face-off

The Chosen One’ elaborated on the faceoff to the media in attendance, who were curious to know about the words being exchanged. Woodley explained that Jake Paul was ‘shaking’ when they looked each other in the eye. Additionally, he also went on to share a message he had for Paul when they were engaged in the stare-down.

“When I look in his face, he’s shaking. He don’t believe the sh*t he’s saying. It sounds good to you guys but what he did was write a check that his a** can’t cash. That’s what his mouth did.

“Nothing he says tripped me up because the thing about it is when I got into his face, I told him to his face, I’m going beat your a**, I’m gonna knock you out’. That’s real talk. You talking about me fighting against gorillas, the best in the world, champion 1 and 2 and no one can finish me.”

With Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul right around the corner, fans are hyped for a summer filled with spectacle exhibition bouts. It’s seemingly become the norm in today’s climate and promotions are simply fulfilling an existing demand.

A lot is riding on Paul putting together a dominant performance against Woodley to play out his contract with SHOWTIME. Not to mention, a fight against Floyd Mayweather potentially lies on the horizon with a definitive win.
