The difference between a fighter and an athlete is that a fighter is willing to take it to the next level – no matter the challenges. Former UFC Lightweight fighter and a sensation in the world of combat, Nate Diaz, has been making headlines ever since he decided to challenge YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul to a boxing bout.
Jake Paul who has been involved in the sport for quite some time now with a recent loss against Tommy Fury, is looking in great shape ahead of this fight. On the other than, Nate Diaz, who has retired from the UFC, has a lot of ground to cover in that aspect, according to Boxing silver medallist Esquiva Falcao.

How Nate Diaz fared against a real boxer – Falcao’s honest review a little concerning?
Nate Diaz has a huge following when it comes to the UFC and that is not just because of his in-ring accomplishments. Nate Diaz’s never-quit attitude and endurance have earned him some of the most loyal fans in the game.

However, ever since he retired from the UFC, Nate Diaz started his own promotion company before he roped in a boxing match against Jake Paul. He recently sparred with a silver medallist in boxing – Esquiva Falcao, who recounted the fight in an interview.
“In the beginning, I thought he was tired. By the end, it looked like he was dying, you know? Because his fighting style is a crazy one. When you look at him, you go: ‘He’s tired already,’ then we started sparring, and in the second round [my coach] told me that he was already tired. So, he told me to take it easy, keep it steady so he can go for at least 10 rounds.” said the Brazilian boxer after sparring with Diaz to help him prepare for Jake Paul.
Diaz is known for his endurance and stamina and his insane cardio. That is why, it was shocking for everyone to learn that Diaz’s stamina and the ability to go the distance has diminished – and for good reason.
“We ended up going for 12 rounds, even though he was tired. It’s bad. He is heavy now, he’s overweight. He must weigh about 220 pounds now or more.” said Falcao, concerned about the weight issue that Diaz would have to face going in to face Paul who fights at 185.
Nate Diaz, by the looks of it, is at least 40 kgs overweight, which has caused him to get slower and sloppier than his usual self.

Backtracking for a reason – Recent developments ahead of Diaz vs. Paul
As the fight nears, fans are getting more and more excited to see Diaz return to combat but this time, in boxing. A recent video showed Diaz and Paul at a pre-fight face-off. Diaz looked plain while Jake Paul, who is younger and definitely more energetic, was being a little too handsy and busy trying to throw off Diaz.
Nate Diaz had initially asked to go 10 rounds with Jake Paul to which the boxer agreed. However, the former UFC fighter recently reneged by saying that it should be 8 rounds at most. This attracted a lot of backlash for Diaz which might prove to be counter-productive for him leading up to the fight.
