Eddie Hearn is a well-known figure in the sport of boxing. It’s no secret that Eddie Hearn is known for his ability to promote both stars and also other sports like rugby. He recently appeared in an interview on the famous ‘The MMA Hour’ show with famous combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani, and talked about his experience visiting McGregor’s Black Forge Inn.

Eddie Hearn talks about meeting Conor McGregor

The renowned boxing promoter is looking forward to organizing an event at the famous Wembley Stadium, which will also be sponsored by UFC’s great Conor McGregor. He then mentioned visiting McGregor’s Black Forge Inn. Hern said, “I had a great trip to the Black Forge Inn… just the most random day.” He added that people might have opinions about certain people. But Hearn mentions that his opinion of a person depends on how they act when he meets them in person.

Hearn said, “I had, I don’t know – an hour and a half, two hours, like just the funniest time. I love great energy and this guy [Conor McGregor] is just a pure character. It was like being in a press conference.” Hearn also mentioned that Conor McGregor had a different level of energy when he met him. “All of a sudden I cut his cameraman turn up and stuff like that and he comes, Conor. We’ve met once before at Katie Taylor literally for five-ten seconds… and he comes in and just the energy and the enthusiasm.” 

Hearn mentions McGregor’s passion for combat sports

Eddie Hearn mentioned that he enjoyed meeting Conor McGregor for his sheer passion for combat sports. Hearn said, “You know that in boxing and this obviously sits alongside MMA as well, you fall in love with the sport. He’s [McGregor] is so passionate about boxing, about mixed martial arts.”

Hearn added, “He [McGregor] won’t sit down. I mean he’s always a stage, standing up and showing me how he fought this guy and now he’d fight that guy. And then he’s telling me about the Nate Diaz fight… he’s like, ‘We should do this, we should do that… My opinion is I love him.”

Eddie Hearn has told numerous times that he loves Conor McGregor’s passion for his sport and even supports female boxing champion, Katie Taylor. Apart from that, ‘The Notorious’ is gearing up for his comeback fight later this year. It will surely be a treat for the fans to see him fight after almost two years of inactivity.
