Is it possible that when you focus so much on someone, you come to like them without realizing it? According to one fan, that might be the case for Jake Paul. ‘The Problem Child’ has turned his attention to UFC superstar Conor McGregor so much so that he’s copying his age-old fighting techniques.

In a recent clip posted on Instagram, Paul and MMA reporter ‘The Schmo’ were playfully beefing with each other. In the scripted scene, the pair shoulder bumped into each other and got in each other’s faces. They faced off in a fighting stance for a few seconds before hugging it out with Paul saying, “I love you, bro. I love you so much.”

The clip captioned ‘@jakepaul vs. @theschmo312 round 2?’ is a reference to the recent clip where their lookalikes were fighting on a stage. The Schmo lookalike had rocked the Paul doppelgänger with a spinning back fist in the clip.
Some fans took sly digs at Paul in the comments under the post. One of them even spotted a similarity to Conor McGregor in one of Paul’s actions.

One fan responded with a joke saying, “Now we know why Jake hasn’t pursued MMA – Schmo by flying armbar” Similarly, another responded with the comment, “I thought this was gonna be a Zoolander meme.”

Another one wrote, “Jake quit on the stool. Schmo 2-0 Jake.”
One fan criticized the 25-year-old saying, “There he gos fighting another guy whos never boxed.” Another took a dig at him saying, “My moneys on the schmo unless Jake Paul’s moneys been given to the schmo.”

One fan joked with reference to the original clip, saying, “I didn’t know the schmo made Jake do the chicken dance.” Similarly, another wrote, “Schmo almost put him on skates but Jake hit him with the “I love you bro”.”
One observant fan noticed how Paul’s movement resembled that of Conor McGregor from his initial days in the UFC. He accused Paul of copying the Irishman and wrote, “The weird hand swing is so obviously a copy of vintage conor. But an awful impersonation to say the least. This guy is such a little rat.”
