UFC Vegas 73 delivered a spectacle for fight fans this Saturday night. As the promotion returned home to UFC Apex in Las Vegas, the event served MMA enthusiasts with everything they could ask for. From brutal knockouts to a heart-pounding main-card fight, it had it all. With yet another successful show under his belt, Dana White couldn’t be happier.

However, parallel to the excitement at UFC Vegas 73, another major sporting event took place on Saturday night. It was a pay-per-view boxing match between Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko. Surprisingly, this event was hosted by none other than UFC President’s bitter rival and Top Rank CEO Bob Arum. White and Arum have a troubled history, with the UFC head honcho often landing harsh words on the famed boxing promoter. Despite the animosity, there have been attempts to resolve the feud from Arum’s side.

Bob Arum has been the man behind some of the biggest boxing matches, having worked with legendary names like Floyd Mayweather, Tyson Fury, and more. However, his recent PPV event failed to generate buzz, at least according to Dana White, who recently dissed the card.

Dana White is unbothered by Bob Arum’s recent PPV event

Dana White addressed the media in the post-fight press conference following the Las Vegas-based UFC event. During the press conference, a reporter asked the UFC president whether he believed the simultaneous boxing match between Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko had affected the UFC event in any way.

White replied, “I don’t want to be a d**k, but I didn’t even know that fight was happening until yesterday.

He further elaborated on his answer, saying, “Seriously. But maybe, I don’t know- This is what I truly believe. I believe that on a night when you have multiple combat sports on, that people are interested in seeing, more people will stay home. I tell you guys all the time. My competition is whatever is going on, on Saturday night.”

Transitioning to the boxing match, the 24-year-old Devin Haney remained unbeaten and undisputed over the 35-year-old Vasiliy Lomachenko. With this victory, the young American fighter improved his record to 30-0 on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
