Jake Paul has an upcoming bout scheduled on 26th February against Tommy Fury. However, the fans are skeptical about the match, as this is one of the most cursed bouts in recent times. The bout is pretty much set to happen in later February and things have started to get heated up between the two fighters. Moreover, owing to past events, Jake Paul has announced a major fighter as the backup for the match against Fury. The UFC veteran will be gunning to have a crack at either of the two boxers and specifically against Jake Paul. Fans have given their verdict on the recently revealed news.

Fans react to Paul revealing major news regarding a fight with Tommy Fury

Jake Paul revealed in an interview that Mike Perry is on standby duty for his fight against Tommy Fury. Michael Benson has reported the same on his Twitter account.

As per ‘MMA Junkie’, Jake Paul said, “We have Mike Perry on standby. Let’s go, Mike Perry. He’s ready to jump in in case Tommt (Fury) pulls out.” Moreover, the fans are already enjoying the news and are hopefully looking forward to a fight between ‘The Problem Child’ and ‘Platinum’.

One fan made a hilarious comment on the news, “The Nigerian Nightmare is on standby”. Similarly, another fan wrote, “LETS GO 2% AFRICAN MAN”.

Moreover, one fan made a bold prediction regarding the results of the fight, “Hear me out, if Mike knocks out jake it’ll be the most hype moment in history”. While one social media user said, Mike would do ungodly things to jake”.

Furthermore, fans actually wanted this fight to be confirmed instead of Perry being on standby. They commented, “Just switch fury for Petty, Perry is a harder match anyways.” Another fan added, “I hope Tommy pulls out just to watch this fight”.

Similarly, some fans had good words for Perry. They commented. “At least he is not a 40 year old retired MMA fighter. Perry has boxing experience.” And one more fan said, “That’s awesome for Perry. Hope he gets that payday.”

However, one fan was critical of Jake Paul’s choices of opponents. They said, “Paul cuts to 195. Perry, askren, woodley all used to fight 170. Makes sense”.

Jake Paul snubbed Luke Rockhold’s offer for a match

After calling it the day in the UFC, Luke Rockhold is looking for a major challenge in other MMA promotions and even boxing. In a recent interview, he made an offer to the YouTuber-turned-boxer for a match. He even claimed that Tommy Fury is likely to back out from his fight on 26th February.

However, it seems that Paul has effectively snubbed the offer of the former UFC champion. But fans are happy with the new replacement that Jake Paul has picked.
