UFC 299 is closer than ever and Sean O’Malley should be ready to defend his belt against his arch-rival Marlon Vera. Both of the fighters are set to headline the main card. ‘Chito’ should be O’Malley’s prime concern right now but seems like there’s another guy from a different sport who wants to lock horns against the bantamweight champion and it’s the boxing star Ryan Garcia. Garcia and O’Malley have been at odds since ‘Suga’ secured the bantamweight victory at UFC 292.

The newly crowned champion took center stage to call out Garcia after his victory at UFC 292. What was once a mere Twitter feud has escalated into a serious rivalry, with both fighters eager to face each other in the ring. Interestingly, Gracia is now making strides by challenging O’Malley. However, ‘Suga,’ in his recent video, has not only poked fun at Gracia but also at De La Hoya.

Garcia is about to face Devin Haney in a high-stakes match on April 20. The matchup might be one of the most important for Garcia but seems like he wants to focus on Sean O’Malley now rather than Haney. In a conversation with ‘TheMMAHour’, Gracia asserted that he would devastate O’Malley if they ever crossed paths.

“I’ll beat his ass in MMA, guaranteed. You don’t understand, I’m a natural wrestler. I just beat my security who’s a wrestler. I beat him. I’m strong, and I got crazy conditioning. I know I’m going to knock him out in boxing. That’s not even fair. What is fair is to test myself in MMA because I know if I put my mind to it and train every day and I had Nate (Diaz) helping me, even Alex Pereira, all of them and I really locked in, he will not beat me.” said Garcia.

What was supposed to be a threat to O’Malley has now become a laughing stock for him. ‘Suga’ seems to have taken the warning very lightly. The bantamweight champ took to his social media handle to share a funny video of him and his coach impersonating Garcia and De La Hoya and making fun of his interview.

After nearly half a year of wait, Garcia has finally reached out to Dana White to arrange a match for him with O’Malley. However, there’s hardly any zeal on the part of the UFC CEO. Why you ask? Well, you mustn’t forget the infamous De La Hoya and White beef that is still ongoing.

The duo started as friends but after the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor matchup, their friendship turned sour. Fairly recently while having in conversation during an interview, De La Hoya stated that if O’Malley and Garcia have a matchup as the main event then he and White would fight in the co-main. Of course, it was a joke but who knows?

The UFC’s response to Garcia and De La Hoya’s mocking was O’Malley and Welsh’s recent Instagram reel. The duo impersonated Garcia and De La Hoya. O’Malley made fun of Garcia thinking he could wrestle him while on the other hand, Welsh exploited the White – De La Hoya beef.

Their hilarious take on Gracia took the attention of the netizens.

Fans in splits over O’Malley’s video

The fans were quick to hop on to the video to express their opinion. Some of the comments by the fans are as follows:-

Starting off, a fan inquired about the love-hate relationship between Oscar and Gracia

Don’t Ryan and Oscar not like each other

Another fan expressed his admiration for Welch’s boxing abilities.

Tim’s coked up jab looking crisp

Furthermore, a fan appreciated the comedic element in the video.

This is the funniest shit ive seen in a minute, it definitely went down exactly like this

That’s how I wish my coaches were with me, never found one that just gets it

A fan finally took Grazia’s side and stated that O’Malley would be knocked out by any boxer.

He will get Knocked out Inboxing by anyone.

Finally, a fan quoted Tim Welsh’s words from the video. Essentially, Welsh was referring to the co-main fight, and the fan seized on that to convey the message.

I’ll fight Dana

From the reactions of the fans, they clearly had a field day of laughing by witnessing the video. Nonetheless, both Sean O’Malley and Gracia have tough opponents to face in the coming months and they should align their focus to them.
