Jake Paul has been on the hype train after defeating several giants in the combat sports universe. He utterly defeated the likes of Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva. However, the public seemingly didn’t want to believe the fights were genuine. But lately, news of ‘The Problem Child’ going against a former UFC warrior has been circling amongst the netizens. Without a doubt, the fans started claiming that the fight might establish Paul’s image in mixed martial arts, as well.

Although the YouTuber initially planned to go against Tommy Fury, he seemingly settled with Mike Perry. Thankfully, fans seemingly aligned their minds toward the fight.

Fans get excited over Jake Paul’s next opponent

Recently, the former UFC welterweight contender, Mike Perry, revealed that he signed a contract with the YouTuber turned professional boxer. He wrote on Twitter, “I signed a contract to fight @jakepaul but he changed his mind.” 

However, Paul confirmed that the two were going to land against each other. He had a message for the fighter. In a video message, Paul said, “Mike Perry, it might be your lucky year. Because Tommy is running again. The fans already knew how much money I was offering Tommy and he’s still ducking me. It’s pretty sad.”

Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury: A fight that never happened

Although the fight between Paul and Fury was hyped a lot, it never really took a turn toward reality. Both the fighters claimed that the other one ghosted. In a tweet, Fury disclosed that Paul’s team did not respond to the sorting of the contracts

However, Paul’s team responded to Fury with a quirky remark. They revealed that they had contacted the fighter daily. Although the fans were looking forward to the fight, it probably won’t happen soon.
