“I’m the Money Fight” – Mike Perry Ready for Another Fight ‘Anytime Anywhere Any Place’ After Triller Victory

Former UFC welterweight Mike Perry survived a knockdown to take a split decision victory over Michael Seals on his Triad Combat debut. Seals, a veteran boxer, had Perry hurt multiple times during the fight.
Perry came out swinging, something that didn’t work for him as Seals regularly caught him with slick counter shots. However, the former UFC fighter took advantage of the clinch, bullied Seals, and landed clean punches. After the fight, in an interview, Perry was asked if the decision surprised him.
He said, “I took the fight to him. I was still there. He’s a hard hitter. Boxers are very hard hitters, especially my weight class. Look at the dude I was up against. He was taller, he had more reach, he hit harder than I did, he was more patient than I was, he was smarter when it came to the stand-up. And there were lots of moves that I wasn’t able to do. But they finally gave me credit for being the general in the ring and pushing the opponent backwards and bringing the fight to him, so that fans had something to watch.”

“I said it yesterday. I’m the money fight,” Perry said. “I know there’s a lot of people mad that I’m standing here as the winner tonight, that makes me happy. I brought the fight and I’m here to have a good night. Anybody can get it, let me get back in the gym and train on this boxing s**t and anybody can get it. Anytime, anywhere, any place.”
