Jake Paul Says He Won’t Make Fun of Khabib Nurmagomedov If They Ever Fight

YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul appeared on the Full Send Podcast and talked about everything related to the fight game. ‘The Problem Child’ is known today more for his stints in the boxing ring than for his prowess as a content creator. Chiefly, his recent endeavors, fighting against former UFC fighters and champions have gone a long way to bolster his profile.

In the mix of talking about his recent bout against Tyron Woodley, Jake Paul was asked about possibly facing another former UFC champion. The team over at Full Send Podcast asked Paul if he would ever fight Khabib Nurmagomedov. Furthermore, they also wanted to know if Paul would go on to troll the lightweight GOAT much like he does his other opponents.

“I would do it [fight Khabib] because I would have to do it. I have so much respect for him, I wouldn’t troll him at all. I would be like, ‘You’re the best, but let’s fight.’

Jake Paul taking on Khabib Nurmagomedov and promoting the fight respectfully is most certainly surprising to many people. Paul is known for his over-the-top antics when it comes to trash-talking his opponents before the actual fight. However, Nurmagomedov’s professionalism clearly speaks volumes, and he has commanded Jake Paul’s respect.

The Problem Child’ is now 4-0 as a professional boxer and he has defeated two credentialed MMA fighters in a row. His most recent split decision victory over Tyron Woodley is by far the biggest crowning achievement of his career. However, the fact that he couldn’t finish the boxing debutant in their bout may have turned off some casual fans.

Despite that, Jake Paul will certainly be booked in a marquee match-up in his next fight. He has listed out some boxers/MMA fighters who he wants to go head-to-head against. He has gone on to feature names like Saul Canelo Alvarez on his ‘hitlist’.

While he’s certainly a long way away from facing the likes of Canelo, Jake Paul will already has a long list of potential opponents. He has crafted out a lane for himself within the fight game and is definitely the face of celebrity boxing as it stands today.
