Hasbulla has become a prominent figure in the MMA world, not as a fighter, but as a viral sensation. He shot to internet fame thanks to his hilarious collaborations with celebrities, especially those in the combat sports scene. At this point, it feels like almost every fighter has filmed a funny video with the 3’4″ internet star. But despite his childlike appearance, many people don’t realize that Hasbulla is a 22-year-old man, born in 2002.
Hasbulla’s dwarfism has fooled a lot of people over the years, and even a heavyweight boxing legend wasn’t immune. In an episode of the Hotboxin’ podcast, Hasbulla was seen playfully throwing punches at Mike Tyson. The former champ responded like he was dealing with a toddler; he picked Hasbulla up, cradled him, and even jokingly tried to bite his ear. But later, Tyson was stunned to learn that Hasbulla was actually over 20 years old.
It looks like even the current UFC heavyweight champ, Jon Jones, hasn’t fully realized that Hasbulla isn’t actually a kid. In a recent Instagram video, Jones was seen picking up the internet sensation and cradling him like a child. The post was captioned, “I told @hasbulla.hushetskiy it’s time to go home and as you can see he was very upset #brothers.”

The caption didn’t give away much, but it’s pretty clear that Hasbulla was having a blast hanging out with the UFC heavyweight champion. And just like a kid who doesn’t want the fun to end, he clearly wasn’t ready to head back home. The whole vibe of the post added to the ongoing theme that Hasbulla often comes off like a playful child, even though he’s a grown man.
This isn’t the first time Jon Jones has crossed paths with Hasbulla. In an earlier video, the two were even seen sharing a piece of bread together. So when this latest clip hit Instagram, fans didn’t waste any time pointing out that ‘Bones’ might’ve made the same mistake Mike Tyson did, treating Hasbulla like a child. Let’s take a look at what the fans had to say.

Fans react to Jon Jones treating Hasbulla like a kid just like Mike Tyson
One fan didn’t waste any time chiming in, “Maybe Jon Jones also thinks like Mike Tyson that he’s a kid,” referencing the same mix-up Tyson made during his Hotboxin’ podcast. Another user added, “Mike Tyson gave him a raspberry almost immediately,” pointing to the moment when ‘Iron Mike’ playfully blew air into Hasbulla’s ear. Meanwhile, a third fan doubled down with a string of laughing emojis, saying, “First Mike did it, and now Jon too”.
Fans quickly jumped in to give Jon a reality check. One commented, “That’s a whole grown man, champ,” while another pointed out Hasbulla’s actual age, saying, “That’s a 20+ year-old man.” In the background of the video, a Russian voice could be heard narrating something, which led one user to joke, “Dagestanis hacked Jones’ account and uploaded this video with sound.” Another fan stepped in to clarify, “That’s Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov’s speech in Russian about the father and son relationship. If you don’t know, now you know.”

These days, Jon Jones can post a video without triggering a full-blown war between ‘Bones’ and Aspinall fans, well, almost. One user joked, “How Jon treated 95% of the LHW division,” referring to the way Jones was cradling Hasbulla. Another fan fired back with just two words and a couple of duck emojis: “Fight Tom,” a nod to Tom Aspinall’s iconic rubber duck appearance at UFC London.
That was definitely a hilarious video from the current heavyweight champ. It just goes to show that even in a sport built on intensity and stoic focus, Jon Jones still has a playful side. With that being said, did you find the video funny? And which fan reaction was your favorite? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
