The fight has gained cult status amongst boxing fans, and it seems like Masvidal is one of them.

The fight lasted for three rounds, and both Hagler and Hearns gave it all in the ring. They threw heavy leather from the get-go and were sure to give the fans exactly what they came for. Chiefly, the exchange wasn’t entirely uncontrolled, as several technical aspects have been analyzed by pundits over the years.

Jorge Masvidal, who’s a masterful striker in his own right, seemingly draws inspiration from the aforementioned icons.
