Former UFC fighter believes McGregor vs. Pacquiao fight is possible

Conor McGregor and Manny Pacquiao are ͏true legends in their res͏pective sports. These two fighters share a storied history of animosity an͏d rivalry. “Mystic Mac” and “Pacman” were sch͏eduled to square off on multiple occas͏ion͏s, but their bouts were thwarted by legal͏ entanglements ͏and various other ͏issues. After Pacquiao signed with Paradigm Sports, Conor tweeted that the management͏ firm was workin͏g on setting up a match between Pacquiao and Mikey Garcia. Unfortunately, due to interfere͏nce from Manny’s other represe͏ntatives, the fight fell through.

McGregor and Pacquiao were both in attendance at Anthony Joshua’s boxing event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It appears that these fighters have agreed to their upcoming bout. Former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen explains that their fight is closer than one might think. “Conor McGregor was there when he was in the front row, and he was talking about boxing, specifically Manny Pacquiao.” said Sonnen on his YouTube handle.

Sonnen further explained, “Conor, the first time that he went, and that would be in the [Francis] Ngannou versus [Tyson] Fury part one, said that he had dinner with His Highness, who Pacquiao was on one side, and Conor was on the other. His Highness said, ‘I want you two to box, can we do it?’ and Conor said, ‘Yeah,’ and Pacquiao said, ‘Yeah.’ Apparently, they’ve progressed that down the line a little bit, but Pacquiao has put up a giant stop until they can get the weight class situated.”

Sonnen’s observation is astute because both of these fighters have been away from fighting and are willing to make a return. McGregor personally is trying to make a comeback and has been constantly calling out for a fight. “Notorious” didn’t let Pacquiao slide from his eyes as well.

Be a man or a mouse: McGregor to Pacquiao

Conor McGregor at the event called out Pacquiao and challenged him to a fight once again. While having a conversation with Al-Sheikh, McGregor issued a challenge to Pacquiao for a boxing match. “I love Manny. Tell Manny to grow a set of b*lls to fight together at a higher weight.”

He further explained that he was ready to face Pacquiao in a lower-weight class, but with one condition: he should be allowed to grapple. “Why not? It’s his sport. If he wants me to come down to a smaller weight, then we should use more of my weapon. I should be able to grapple; that’s more fair. Say it to him, ‘Be a man or a mouse!’ Is Manny a man or a mouse? That’s it!”
