Tyron Woodley‘s career in fighting has been going in a downward spiral since his loss to Kamaru Usman back in UFC 235. The former welterweight champion has yet to win any fight after his last bout against Kamaru Usman. ‘The Chosen One’ was released from the promotion back in 2021 and since then he has been doing influencer boxing, however, Woodley has yet to gather any success from his bouts.

Woodley has fought twice in boxing and that too against YouTuber turned-boxer Jake Paul. In both of their encounter, Paul defeated him. After the back-to-back defeat, Woodley was silent but seems like the former champion is looking to lock horns again, and that too against former eight-division world boxing champion, Manny Pacquiao.

Tyron Woodley vs. Manny Pacquiao soon?

Are we close to witnessing a clash between the former champions of two separate sports? Well seems like it. Woodley recently confessed that he is planning to return to the fighting arena after being knocked out by Jake Paul in his last outing. Taking the matters to his Instagram, Woodley claimed that he is in a discussion with Manny Pacquiao for a clash.

Just like Woodley, Pacquiao has been away from the fighting scene for quite some time now. The former eight-division champion has not stepped inside the boxing ring since his decision loss to Yordenis Ugas back in 2021. After the defeat, ‘PacMan’ announced his retirement from boxing, however, Pacquiao in his recent escapade has asserted that he would like to make an official comeback.

Woodley on his Instagram handle added a morphed photo of them fighting and added a caption calling out ‘PacMan’ to man up and stop acting like KSI and Floyd Mayweather. “@mannypacquiao, we’ve been messing around with these numbers for two months. Are we fighting or what!? You’re acting like Floyd and KSI! itslizing on clout,” wrote Woodley.

Pacquiao has multiple options for his comeback

After losing the Philippines general elections badly in 2022, Pacquiao started fighting in exhibition and influencer matches just like Floyd Mayweather. In the same year, he defeated  DK Yoo by unanimous decision. However, seems like these fighting were not having the same kick for ‘PacMan’.

Last month,  Pacquiao’s representative, Sean Gibbons asserted that ‘PacMan is considering a proper comeback after his retirement. Gibbons highlighted that ‘PacMan’ is looking for several professionally sanctioned fights. In a conversation with BoxingScene, Gibbons said, “Technically he’s out of retirement, He would love to fight Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia. He’s got about a year left. He just wants to fight. Manny feels that he’s in tremendous shape. He’s training for this exhibition but hopefully, that will lead to something bigger and better. I do [see a pro return for Pacquiao]. One of the fights that people talked about for a long time was Manny Pacquiao versus Conor McGregor.”
