Fury vs. Ngannou has been a long-discussed subject. The ex-UFC heavyweight champion has always stated his intent to go over to the squared circle and face one of the biggest stars in boxing. However, the fight never materialized during Ngannou’s tenure in the UFC. Now, the former UFC star is signed to the PFL and free to pursue his boxing interests.

Tyson Fury drops massive update on Jon Jones-Francis Ngannou saga

Both Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou have a vested interest in fighting Tyson Fury. The payday from boxing, arguably the best heavyweight boxer on the planet, could very well set up a retirement fund for either of them. There have also been talks of a hybrid fight and of Fury crossing over to MMA to face Jones or Ngannou.

While they are usually dismissed as implausible rumors, Fury has not come out and stated otherwise. In a recent statement he made, the Englishman said, “I’ve been in talks with Francis Ngannou for a hybrid fight. There’s talks of me and Jon Jones doing a hybrid fight as we talk right now. I received an offer from the UFC yesterday.”

He added, “So you never know what’s gonna happen. The future’s bright for sure and there’s a lot of options out there.”
