Jake Paul kept his winning momentum going after defeating Ryan Bourland via knockout in the first round. The event took place at the Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot in Suan Juan, Puerto Rico, and the fans rooted for Paul. He dominated the fight from the beginning and ended the fight in the first round.

With this win, he has extended his winning streak to three fights now and continues on his quest to become a professional boxer. While the social media influencer has gathered a lot of fans, former UFC champion Michael Bisping doesn’t seem impressed by the 27-year-old.

Jake Paul started his journey of becoming a professional boxer in 2020 when he took on AnEsonGib. Since then he has faced former basketball player Nate Robinson, Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley (twice), Anderson Silva and an aging Nate Diaz. While the 27-year-old won all the fights, he faced his first defeat against Tommy Fury, the only legitimate boxer on the list. Bisping feels the 27-year-old chooses opponents that are much weaker than him and doesn’t really want to face any legitimate boxers. The social media influencer after his latest win called out Canelo Álvarez for a fight.

After listening to this, Bisping on his YouTube channel shared his thought process on the whole. The former middleweight champion said, “He did it, he is the face of the sport truly okay. He wants Canelo this man’s legit. He wants the toughest test out there. No, he doesn’t. He’s calling out Canelo cuz he knows damn well that the fight is not going to happen. Canelo Álvarez would not wipe his a** with a Jake Paul payday. He’s not interested in that. The man is a real warrior. The man’s one of the best boxers of his generation. He wants real tests. He doesn’t want circus side show, freak show fights. That’s what Jake Paul’s doing.”

Bisping clearly doesn’t seem impressed by Jake Paul and his antiques. However, there is one fighter whom he is impressed with and also a bit concerned about. UFC 299 will feature Dustin Poirier taking on Benoit-Saint Denis and ‘The Count’ feels Denis might just retire Poirier.

Bisping feels Dustin Poirier might find it tough against ‘BSD’

Dustin Poirier was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 291 when he took on Justin Gaethje for the ‘BMF’ title. ‘The Diamond’ lost the fight via knockout in the second round itself, thus extending his career losses to eight. However, he is now up against a rising star of the lightweight division, Benoit-Saint Denis. The former French Special Forces operative is fresh of five victories and Bisping feels he has a slight advantage in their fight. Bisping took to his YouTube channel to discuss the fight and credited Poirier for fighting for thirteen years. However, he also feared that Denis might just be too good for ‘The Diamond’.

He said, “All the advantages are on the side of Benoit Saint-Denis, he’s younger: 28 versus 35, he’s taller, he’s got a longer reach, and the momentum is on his side as well, won five in a row, finished five in a row. But granted, this is the next level. This is a step up for Benoit Saint-Denis. So for Dustin Poirier, this could be the last time we ever see him,” With age catching up on Poirier and the chances of winning a belt getting slimmer. Will he be able to come out on top against a younger opponent at UFC 299? Let us know in the comments below.
