Mike Perry is the biggest star in his sport. The former UFC welterweight bid adieu to MMA four years ago and joined the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) in 2022, going on to become the face of bare-knuckle boxing. While the sport is admittedly a relatively new one, with the BKFC putting its first card out merely six years ago, it is clear that Perry is the Conor McGregor or the Michael Jordan of his sport.

He has the opportunity to make his name in boxing as he is set to face the notorious Jake Paul in a boxing match, which could see him break out as a superstar in the overall combat sports world. And ahead of the clash, we take a look at Mike Perry’s walkout songs.

Mike Perry is likely to walk out to another hip-hop banger for the Jake Paul fight

Mike Perry seems to be a big fan of hip-hop music. For his bare-knuckle fight against former UFC champ Eddie Alvarez at BKFC 56, ‘Platinum’ chose the hit song ‘Superhero (Heroes and Villains) by Boomin and the Future to walk out to.

His love for hip-hop was apparent in his last fight too, where he faced UFC vet Thiago Alves at Knucklemania IV earlier this year. Decked out in flamboyant flamingo pink, the American would walk out to the tunes of ‘Trademark USA’ by rapper Baby Keem.

It is improbable that the BKFC star would walk out to either of these songs, as the BKFC superstar seems to change his walkout songs for each event. On the other hand, Jake Paul, too, likes to mix up the tunes he makes his walkout to.

While his choice of walkout song for the Jake Paul fight remains uncertain, what is certain is the bad blood between the two men. A clear (and violent) example of this came at their pre-fight press conference ahead of their Tampa, Florida, clash.

Paul and Perry almost come to blows

Mike Perry and Jake Paul’s feud goes back way before their fight. ‘Platinum’ has special contempt for the celebrity boxer, whom he can’t stand since he finds Paul to be a “disrespectful punk.” Their bad blood boiled over at their pre-fight event as the duo engaged in a war of words to the fans’ delight.

Paul predicted that Perry would crumble under pressure when the enormity of the event set in, to which the BKFC star strongly disagreed, letting his contempt for the celebrity boxer known yet again. Things even took a violent turn as the duo, while facing off, almost came to blows as Paul shoved Perry. Security, however, intervened before it could come to blows. What are your predictions for their fight?
