Rogan has been with UFC for over a decade now. He has watched the sport closely. Hence, he has a good knowledge of the fighters. Over the years, the UFC has seen some of the most dominant fighters coming out of Russia.

The former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is a prime example of it. Although ‘The Egale’ has retired from the sport, his protégé Islam Makhachev, is currently dominating the division. Makhachev, with a ten-fight undefeated streak, is very close to getting a shot at the title.

Although today Nurmagomedov has retired from the sport, fans remember him for his fights skills and ethics outside the MMA cage. And even the UFC commentator couldn’t stop himself from lauding the former lightweight.

In one episode of his podcast, Rogan talked highly about Nurmagomedov. He said, “He’s on another level and that’s one of the things that happens when you are.”

“I mean, you got to realize that guy is supremely disciplined. Supremely dedicated like doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t f**k around, doesn’t abuse his body always fit,” he added.

“Always in shape, always in training, and lives like a champion. And he is like very religious. Like very devout Muslim. No partying, he’s not partying, he’s not doing coke and banging ho*s. He’s none of that. He is just smashing people,” Rogan concluded.
