In 2017, the fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather was a spectacle. Fans from both MMA & Boxing enjoyed watching the fight between these two warriors. However, there was one man who had quite the interruption while watching the event. That man was none other than boxing legend, Mike Tyson.

While watching the fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, Tyson was seated behind NBA player LeBron James. The heavyweight legend spoke in detail about the experience of sitting behind someone as tall as James.

The heavyweight boxing legend mentioned that he watched the fight on the ceiling. Tyson said, ” [LeBron is] around 10 foot tall, so when he stood up, I looked up at the fight [on the videoboard] on the ceiling,” Tyson said. “They had the little tubes on the ceiling. I watched it on the ceiling. I was like, ‘God, this guy’s tall.’ ”

While Tyson might have struggled to watch the fight, he definitely enjoyed it. The former heavyweight champion of the world only had positive things to say about it.

Just like fans around the world, Mike Tyson enjoyed watching the fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather. The former world champion also had positive things to say about McGregor.

Tyson felt everyone got their money’s worth by watching the contest between McGregor and Mayweather. He said, “It was cool. Everybody got their money’s worth.” 

The Brooklyn-born fighter credited Conor McGregor for promoting the fight well. Tyson said, “Without him promoting the fight, the fight doesn’t make that money.” While McGregor did a good job promoting the fight, he lost the bout via TKO in round 10.

The fight between McGregor and Mayweather was a major success. According to ESPN.com, the fight sold 4.3 million PPVs. It also generated more than $600 million in total revenue. These figures place the fight behind Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather which generated 4.6 million PPV buys and generated more than $600 million in revenue.
