Conor McGregor now has a stake in BKFC ownership

This news came as a surprise to many people because not too long ago, there was chatter about a possible Conor McGregor fight in BKFC. However, David Feldman did not dismiss the chance of that happening, either. We could see ‘The Notorious’ compete in the bare-knuckle promotion, given that he has only two fights left in his UFC contract. We will have to wait and see how things turn out for McGregor now that he’s essentially become a promoter, while also being a fighter under the banner of the UFC.

Why did Charly Arnolt replace Joe Martinez?

Just a few months ago, Laura Sanko became the first female UFC commentator, which was a big milestone for the promotion in terms of representation. Now, Dana White‘s promotion has achieved another milestone as Charly Arnolt became the UFC’s first woman ring announcer, who took over the reins from Joe Martinez at UFC Vegas 91. While some people are celebrating this instance, reports have come out regarding the real reason the replacement took place.

The sudden and impromptu nature of the change in the ring announcer for UFC Vegas 91 took place because Joe Martinez was ill. The change also took place after a 125-pound fight, when Charly Armolt got the chance to show that she could handle the ring announcing gig, just like she did in WWE. Meanwhile, Martinez returned to reprise his role as the announcer for the final fight of the night between Alex Perez and Matheus Nicolau.

Big payday for Mike Perry at KnuckleMania 4

Very few people will argue that Mike Perry has somewhat become the face of the BKFC. Although he had a modest career as an MMA fighter, he seems to have found his element in the world of bare-knuckle boxing. The 32-year-old is currently undefeated and extended his run to a 5-fight winning streak after knocking out Thiago Alves in the very first round of their main event at BKFC; KnuckleMania 4. Not only did ‘Platinum’ continue his dominant run, but he also received a hefty paycheck for the fight.

According to a report from MMA Junkie, Mike Perry topped the list with the highest paycheck, which amounted to a total of $600,000. However, he was one of the five fighters who bagged a 6-figure paycheck at KnuckleMania 4. Now that BKFC is gaining momentum in the combat sports community and the inclusion of Conor McGregor in the ownership, we can expect fighters to make more money in the future.
