Former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant smacked current WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor reacted to the incident and sent a message to Plant in a couple of deleted tweets.

Video footage released by Michael Benson showed Caleb Plant confronting Jermall Charlo backstage during the event. He charged him and smacked the WBC champion in his face. However, Charlo seemed unfazed and didn’t care to fire back at the former IBF champion. This almost ignited a brawl between the boxers’ entourages.

However, things did not escalate more than it had to. Both fighters were separated and escorted out of the arena with the presence of security by their side. Caleb Plant’s action didn’t go unnoticed as many people, including former UFC double champion Conor McGregor, took to social media to express their thoughts about the whole altercation.

Conor McGregor reacts to Caleb Plant smacking Jermall Charlo

The former UFC double champion took issue with the incident. In a deleted tweet, Conor McGregor said, “No.” His issue with the scuffle with not with Caleb Plant, but rather with Jermall Charlo. McGregor claimed that the fight should have been done and dusted there itself. Instead, he was disappointed that both of them got separated after Caleb Plant’s smack on Charlo’s face. The Irishman in another deleted tweet said, “Get right back here this second. Sir, you’re going nowhere till we settle this dispute here and now.”

Furthermore, Conor McGregor ridiculed Jermall Charlo for not responding back immediately after getting hit in the face. He was clearly disappointed with the WBC champion. ‘The Notorious’ added, “Wtf is going on there? Clean cracked and let’s him walk out? No. Nope. Nah. Not a f***in’ hope.”
